Rocket from the Crypt San Diego Concert reviews
Had so much potential
The EagleBank arena is a bit run down and needs a face-lift. These great artists are all. Maybe it was a domino effect to the others from when Ginuwine's technical issues took up a lot of time, so maybe they had to cut their acts. In place, we got a Johnny banging on drums, singing another artist's song, & to top it off, a church sermon. Rocket from the Crypt played us a mini movie...still don't know what that was about. There was then an intermission where he changed outfits just to sing 2 songs. He left off several of his popular songs. He also played songs he wrote, a few by Silk, which I was confused because Silk was the 1st act & already performed live these songs you got us listening to again. Johnny Gill sang none of his solo slow songs. Its ok to pay respects to other artists by singing their song, but you need to make sure you sing all of YOUR songs that your fans help put on the charts. In between artists, there would be dead silence sometimes, no music or anything playing. Then there were awkward disconnects between the Emcee and the stage prep people so again if you were having a great time before, you came off of your buzz because the flow if the concert was so rugged.
